How to write an exam like a Topper | Score Maximum Marks
Exams are very important for any student. All students want to score maximum marks in exams. To score maximum marks in an exam, just knowing the answer to the question is not enough; along with this, a student should also know how to fill or write the exam sheet in the exam. With the following writing structure, you can score maximum marks in the exam than others.
1. OMR Sheet Filling
Most of the time, the faculty will provide time to fill the OMR sheet 15 or 10 minutes before the exam. So, try to complete the OMR sheet within that time. Also, keep your exam materials ready, like a pen, pencil, eraser and sharpener, so that you don’t have to waste time on them during the written exam.
2. Analyse Question Paper
Whenever you get the question paper from your faculty, first read and analyze the entire question paper carefully from beginning to end. See which questions match your expectations. Sometimes, some questions may be more likely to be in your favor.
3. Start with High-Confidence Questions
Remember, the first question is always the most important. It will determine your entire answer sheet in terms of your writing style, tone and knowledge. It will tell the examiner your overall understanding of the exam. To make a big impact on the first question, remember the following points:
- Your first question should always be one of your favorite questions.
- If you will choose questions from your favorite questions. This will help you write more and more things in good quality answers instead of writing thick answers.
- If your first answers are good, it will boost your confidence to write better in the exam.
Note: This is one of my favorite methods. I personally use this method the most in the exam.
Answer Format:
Now, let’s discuss how your answer format should be like a topper. This is the main point where a topper beats other students. A topper writes each sentence in a structured way.
- First, write your topic title that you are writing about such as system design, graph, system architecture.
- Then give lines 3 and 4 of the definition.
- Write down the features / characteristics / advantages and disadvantages etc. But these should be in a diagram.
- Then explain it one by one: Heading > Paragraph > Some points. If possible, also give a real-life example.

You can also put some important points as notes or real life examples.
Note: Write your Answer Smartly
This is an answer format that you can use to answer long questions. Using this format, you can easily write an answer of three to four pages. After completing the first question, choose the second question in the same way that you are most confident in.
Conclusion
If you follow all the instructions written above, then you can score maximum marks in your exam. But remember, don’t leave any questions attempt all.
